Homework

Now that the students have successfully integrated themselves into the routine and rigors of the 4th grade, they can expect to have homework 4 nights each week . The homework guidelines for 4th grade, as approved by the Exeter School Board, are 40 minutes, 4 days per week. This may include work in reading, language arts, math, science and social studies.
Reading: 20 minutes. It is expected that students will read each night for 20 minutes in order to further develop their reading skills.
Spelling: Spelling Pyramid: Directions: Students will create a spelling pyramid, starting with the fewest letters, and ending with the words with the most letters. A worksheet has been provided for this.
Math: Home Link 1. 3. Skill: Students use data to practice rounding numbers through the hundred thousands place.
