Math: Home Link 1.7: Using US Traditional addition to solve addition problem. Students will make estimates  to determine if the answers are correct.

Reading: 20 minutes

Math: Home Link 1.6: Students will use what they know about + and - to solve word problems.  Students will estimate the answers to determine if the answer makes sense. All calculations must be shown in order to be considered complete.

Spelling: Spelling Scrabble: Students choose 10 words, write the word, then add the value of each scrabble letter.

Now that the students have successfully integrated themselves into the routine and rigors of the 4th grade, they can expect to have homework 4 nights each week . The homework guidelines for 4th grade, as approved by the Exeter School Board, are 40 minutes, 4 days per week. This may include work in reading, language arts, math, science and social studies. 

Reading: 20 minutes. It is expected that students will read each night for 20 minutes in order to further develop their reading skills.


Spelling: Super Silly Sentences: Students will  use all of their spelling words to write super silly sentences. There may be more than one spelling word in the sentences. Be creative and have fun with it.


There will be a Spelling Test tomorrow.



Math: Skill page:  Rounding numbers through the ten- thousands.

Now that the students have successfully integrated themselves into the routine and rigors of the 4th grade, they can expect to have homework 4 nights each week . The homework guidelines for 4th grade, as approved by the Exeter School Board, are 40 minutes, 4 days per week. This may include work in reading, language arts, math, science and social studies. 

Reading: 20 minutes. It is expected that students will read each night for 20 minutes in order to further develop their reading skills.


Spelling: Upper Case and Lower Case: Students will write half of their spelling list in upper case letters, and the other half of their list in lower case letters.

Math: Home Link  1.4:  Students compare large numbers  involving attendance at professional football games.

Other: Band instruments can be picked up tonight between 5:30-7:00 pm in the cafeteria

The first PTO meeting for this year is tonight, in the Main Street School Library, starting at 5:30. Please consider attending . The PTO meets the second Wednesday of each month. Same time, same location.

Now that the students have successfully integrated themselves into the routine and rigors of the 4th grade, they can expect to have homework 4 nights each week . The homework guidelines for 4th grade, as approved by the Exeter School Board, are 40 minutes, 4 days per week. This may include work in reading, language arts, math, science and social studies. 

Homework: 


Math: Home Link 1.2: students will compare values of 6 -digit numbers; Practice trade first subtraction. All work must be shown on calculations in order to be considered complete.

Spelling: All students brought home copies of  their spelling list for this week and also wrote the lists in their Homework Assignment Notebooks. Tonights homework has the students write their lists in three different colors. A worksheet has been provided for this. 

Please remember to write First and Last names as-well-as the Date on all work that is to be passed in .

There are many after school activities underway and upcoming. Please make sure that the school and your child know of any changes in the daily dismissal schedule.
