The homework guidelines for 4th grade, as approved by the Exeter School Board, are 40 minutes, 4 days per week. This may include work in reading, language arts, math, science and social studies.
Reading: 20 minutes. It is expected that students will read each night for 20 minutes in order to further develop their reading skills.
Spelling: Super Silly Sentences: Students will use all of their spelling words to write super silly sentences. There may be more than one spelling word in the sentences. Be creative and have fun with it.

Spelling: All students brought home copies of their spelling list for this week and also wrote the lists in their Homework Assignment Notebooks. Tonights homework has the students write their lists in three different colors. A worksheet has been provided for this.
Please remember to write First and Last names as-well-as the Date on all work that is to be passed in .
There are many after school activities underway and upcoming. Please make sure that the school and your child know of any changes in the daily dismissal schedule.

Math: Division Bingo worksheet: Students will solve division worksheets to complete a BINGO game: students must show all work. If separate paper is used to show work, then the paper must be passed in with the assignment
Spelling: Lesson 21: Menu choice: a different menu choice must be used each day.
Reading: The 4th grade reading carnival was introduced to students on Friday, May 3. All students should be reading a minimum of 20 minutes each night in order to earn tickets to participate in a Carnival at the end of the school year. Vouchers are due on Friday each week in order to qualify for the tickets. The only exception to the due date is if a student is absent on Friday. Students will not be allowed to call home on Friday for the tickets. One goal of the Reading Carnival is to foster a love of reading. Another goal is to encourage personal responsibility in the students. Thank you in advance for your support.
Science: Students have begun work on the Science Fair projects. As of today, all students should have their: Topic, Question and List of Materials. Some students have completed their Hypothesis based on research, all others will complete this by the end of school tomorrow.
