I am looking forward to this new school year. There are lots of new
things to be learned and new friends to be made.
My goal for this year is to help your
child to be an independent and responsible learner, as well as, to show him or
her how to make responsible choices. To accomplish this goal, there will be
regular homework and we will be making the most of our class time. My
expectations for the students this year will be high. They will need to work
hard and do their best but if today is any indication, I know they are up for the challenge.
The students brought home A LOT of paper work today. Much of it needs to be signed and sent back to school. Please try to get it back as soon as possible. Students also brought home their homework assignment books for the first time. This is new for the students . All homework is written in the assignment books and should be checked and signed by you as an indication that you are aware that and assignment was given and that it was completed.
Tomorrow and Wednesday is going to be EXTREMELY hot. We will run the air conditioners but it would also be healthy and less interruptive to the day if students had a refillable water bottle. Many of the students had them today.
Thank you to all of the families who generously sent in classroom supplies. It is a huge help and very much appreciated!
I look forward to another successful day in 4th grade tomorrow.
